At ACME Constructors, we’re always excited to welcome exceptional talent to our team, and even more excited when that talent happens to be a returning team member.
We’re proud to announce that David Hertig has joined our Columbia, MO office as a Senior Project Manager.
David brings more than a decade of experience in plant operations, engineering, and construction materials. A graduate of Missouri S&T with a degree in Mining Engineering, David began his career working across the Midwest in aggregate operations and large-scale industrial construction. His leadership roles have included Plant Manager, Area Manager, and most recently Director of Operational Excellence at Summit Materials, where he oversaw maintenance programs, capital projects, and continuous improvement initiatives across multiple facilities.
David also holds an MBA from Arkansas State University and is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt, underscoring his process-driven approach to project execution and operational efficiency.
This is a homecoming for David, who spent time with ACME earlier in his career. “David’s familiarity with ACME’s culture and our focus on self-perform industrial work makes him a great fit for our growing mid-Missouri operations,” said Lee Hahnel, President of ACME Constructors.
Now living in the Boonville area, David enjoys spending time with his family, coaching youth baseball, and restoring vintage vehicles — including a 1979 Ford pickup and his trusty Jeep.
We’re thrilled to have David back on the team. His experience, leadership, and commitment to quality will bring even more strength to our Columbia operation and the clients we serve across the region.
Welcome back, David!
