Having recently doubled in size through acquisition, ACME Group is seeking a Human Resource Manager “HR Manager” that is the go-to person for all employee-related issues. HR Manager duties will involve managing activities such as recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training & development and talent management to ensure successful multi-site growth.

Promoting corporate values and shaping a positive culture is a vital aspect of this leadership position.  The Human Resources Manager is responsible for supporting employees.   Attention to detail and providing an unparalleled level of customer service is crucial to this role when communicating with employees, and/or internal business partners and staff.

YOUR ROLE AS HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER 

  • Coordinate hiring processes, including the recruitment of top-level talent, orientation and on boarding. 

  • Coordination of job fairs, promote professional development, safety training and internship programs with leadership team.

  • Understand ESOP, educate and promote internally and lead employee ownership events.

  • Be a resource for employees on any ESOP related questions and communications.

  • Finding and implementing a cost effective on boarding process.

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.

  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.

  • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital.

  • Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures across the organization.

  • Nurture a positive working environment.

  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.

  • Maintain pay plan and benefits program.

  • Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics.

  • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.

  • Maintains management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.  Includes a focus on analyzing, auditing, and optimizing HR processes and workflow to ensure the function delivers timely and accurate support across the company.

  • Partnering with managers to help hire, train, retain, and terminate employees in accordance with company policy and applicable employment law.

  • Manages overall HR function and provides leadership support to direct reports.

  • Completes written and verbal employment verifications for inquiries from both inside and outside the company according to company policies.

  • Maintains personnel files in line with company policies and government regulations. 

  • Assists Leadership on annual open enrollment process for employee benefits.

  • Develops and manages systems analysis and enhancements to elevate the user experience. Ensures on-boarding documentation is developed and appropriately maintained.

  • Manages and ensures HR Systems configuration, testing and functionality are complete and up to date.

  • Recommends and implements innovative processes or changes that support the goals and objectives of the area.

  • Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records; representing the organization at hearings.

  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

  • Proven working experience as HR Manager.

  • People oriented and results driven.

  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases

  • Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills.

  • Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.

  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.

  • Have related experience in fast paced growing organization.

  • ESOP familiarity is a plus.

  • You are savvy with technology, including Microsoft Office Suite, and various ERP systems.

  • Four-year college degree required.  HR Degree, Certifications, a plus.

LOCATION & TRAVEL

This position is based at our headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri. Position requires an on-site presence with professional flexibility. Travel estimated at 15% and as necessitated by business needs, customer meetings, and growth initiatives.
