April 1, 2019 - (No Joke - not an April Fool's Day prank) ACME wins Best Practices Award from SLCCC.

From among dozens of submissions, an ACME Constructors project was selected as the winner in "Advanced Work Packaging" by the judges for The St. Louis Council of Construction Consumers.

A portion of the Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) application read:

"ACME was brought in as the millwright/iron worker subcontractor in 2017 to bring its experience to bear on resolving schedule and budget issues and orchestrate a streamlined installation of the manufacturing process in a $9.2 million contract at the plant. Tapping its Anvil Engineering and TNT Fabrication divisions, ACME developed an advanced work packaging (AWP) plan to install a highly complex manufacturing process that included the following:

• 12 interior equipment platforms, some as high as 30 feet and as long as 160 feet and one with seven levels, to support manufacturing equipment encompassing $2.5 million of the contract.

• Precision installation of 1,400 feet of drag conveyers, 150 chutes, four conditioners and extruders, four dryers, 28 cyclonic separators and 11 blowers."

In the photo below, ACME President, DJ Simmons holds the trophy awarded to the ACME Team. Behind him, to his right, are Project Manager, Andy Goldkamp, and Vice-President, Jerry Harmon.
